Album Cover 1
This assignment was to create an album cover for a song of your choice. I chose Money by Pink Floyd. The album cover was created by using the drawing tool in Photoshop, as well as finding a picture online of money and using the magnetic tool to outline it and place it onto the background. The background was created with a certain type of The back cover was created by layering the picture I used for the front cover around the edges. (For some reason the lyrics did not show up when I posted the back cover). this assignment familiarized me with using Photoshop. Both the front and back covers were made using Photoshop, and then transferred to Microsoft publisher and printed double sided.

This album cover was for the song that we were assigned by the teacher. We not only had to design an album cover but we also had to use 10 different photos to create a type of collage. I used photos such as a guitar, wings, a fist, a police badge, a staircase, a rose, a peace sign, a black cloud, and an angel to create a layered look for my collage. Then, I included the title of the song, and changed the entire thing to gray scale. The back cover was just a pattern with a photo from the front cover. My Record label and the copyright sign are included as well. I outlined all of the photos using the magnetic tool and then transferred them to the background. I changed the opacity of the photos so they would blend more. The front and back covers were created on Photoshop and then moved to Microsoft publisher where it was printed double sided.
I used the album cover for the song that I chose (Album cover 1) and I reworked it to turn into a tee shirt transfer. I used Pink Floyd's original album cover, Dark Side of the Moon, which the song Money is on. Then, I used the images of money I had from the album cover. I traced the money images with the magnetic lasso tool just like I did when I created the album cover. Then I used the free transform tool to scale them to fit the way I wanted and rotate them so not all of the images look identical. |
